How far are the student properties from Swansea University
All the student properties are in Brynmill and Uplands. Many of the Brynmill properties are a 5 minute walk through Singleton Park. The Uplands properties are about 20 mins walk away.
Do the properties have double beds?
All the rooms in each of the student properties have double beds.
Do the houses have internet connections?
Students are responsible for their own broadband access. Most students use Virgin media. As the infrastructure is already installed its simply a case of contacting Virgin and creating a new account.
Can I store my stuff at the house over the summer?
Yes. As long as your belongings are boxed up and clearly marked. Students should take care not to store any items of value and to make sure they are insured.
Can I stay at the house over the summer, what is the cost?
Students can stay at the property over the summer at no additional charge. We try and complete our maintenance during July so students will need to be flexible on which room they stay in.
When can I move in?
The contracts run from July to September, but students can move in anytime. If you want to move in during July, we may not have completed all the maintenance but will be able to accommodate you.
How much council tax will I have to pay?
Students do not pay council tax as long as they are registered with Swansea City Council.
Can I park my car outside the house?
Each household can have a maximum of 2 parking permits. Some of the houses have off-street parking. Some streets are resident parking only.
When can we view a property?
Just send us an email stating which properties you are interested in and we can make an appointment to show you round. We are happy to show you a few to give you some choice.
